Tropical Mini Album

Image
Hi everyone! Today I wanted to share a really fun and easy mini album idea that I found on Pinterest! I have been looking up all sorts of mini albums and welcome you to follow my mini album Pinterest board if you too want some fun inspiration. This mini was inspired by a Pin by Bubble Gum and Duct Tape , which has easy step by step instructions for the base of the album. Here is how my album turned out...   For the cover I used a stamp to create a subtle background and then another stamp for "memories". I hand wrote 2008 and all of the graphics in the album are from Miss Kate Cuttables .   Since this album is made of pockets, I made 3.75" x 2.75" cards that can pull out of the pockets. I added a circle to the top of the cards and the pictures slip under the circle. I used colorful cards made from cardstock and I think it really adds to the fun factor in this album as well as the super cute embellishments.     Have a happy day!

Baby Boy Shower

Image
My sister just had a beautiful baby boy named Bryce and I have to say he is just the cutest little guy!   For her Baby shower I helped out a little by making a cupcake kit using my Sizzix eClips.   The cupcake wrappers are from SVG Cuts Vintage Paper Rosettes as well as the scalloped circles. The zoo animals are from Miss Kate Cuttables .     Such a cute theme for this baby shower!   My nephew showing his cupcake of choice.   In addition to the cupcake party pack, I also made a baby card. This card was made from SVG Cuts Breezy Backyard Lever Cards. I used another one of Miss Kate Cuttables zoo monkeys for the front. I used a punch for the baby feet and a circle punch for the embellishments.

Summer Beach Birthday Card

Image
Today I have a fun Summer Birthday card that I made using Echo Park's Paradise Beach digital papers.   I love using digital papers because I am able to open them in Photoshop Elements and then I can alter or create however I want with no paper waste. I made all of the elements for this card by layering the papers and using foam tape to give it dimension.   I used some Orangesicle Trendy Twine and some stamps for the sentiment.   This paper pack has such great colors and I created a chevron pattern in Photoshop to put as many of the papers on the card as possible.   Hope you are enjoying your summer!

Purse Birthday Card

Image
Hi again! So today I wanted to share another birthday card...18th Birthday to be exact! I have a friend, who is also very crafty named Jenny, and as she is a very stylish lady, so I wanted to make her a very stylish Birthday Card.   The inside takes up all of the free space, leaving no room to write my message, so I made a mini change purse card that I added to the outside of the purse which opens to reveal the message.   These elements all came from the same set by SVG Cuts, Paula's Boutique .   Hint: To make the buckle and metal parts of the brushes look like silver, I used my Versa mark stamp pad with silver embossing powder. It has just the right amount of shine.       Thanks for stopping by,

Hot Air Balloon Birthday Card

Hello Blog World! I have been MIA...keeping myself so busy with the house that I hardly find the time to just sit and type. Summer has certainly arrived here in Florida, and with it I do enjoy the outdoor time. I have been gardening and learning a lot about what not to do. That's a good start. And now I am starting to see some vegetables that are close to harvesting which is really exciting. In the crafting world, I have been focusing on cards a lot more than anything else lately, and I am sad to report that my Sizziz eClips has mostly died. I say mostly because I have about a 4 by 12 inch rectangle that will still work on the mat. This is already my second machine from them that died. I am hesitant to replace with another one of their machines as I've only gotten 2 years of use out of this machine. Anyone else have issues with their Sizzix eClips? Any recommendations for another machine? Well, I have some pictures of some cards I made earlier this year that I would lik

Girl's Easter Basket

Image
My husband asked me to make a fun Easter paper project to put on my blog. I asked him what he had in mind, and he came up with an Easter basket with a paper egg, decorated in pretty colors. I even had him pick out the colors, which were very pastel colors. I liked it but it needed a little more color and design, so I added some graphic print and cut files to decorate the basket and egg with.   I found the 3-D SVG files from SVG Cuts , and the graphics are from Miss Kate Cuttables .   I thought the cute eggs around the egg added dimension and added color. Then I added some fun eyes to the bunny.   If you like this project, use this nifty picture below to pin it on Pinterest!   Thanks for stopping by to see my craft.

St. Paddy's Day Hat and Pin.

Monday is St. Patrick's Day this year, and I thought it was fitting to show you what I was doing this time last year. I was designing projects for an online magazine called Cutting Edge Magazine and here a project I made featured in the Spring 2013 issue.     My green eyed cat...She approves my projects by sniffing them first. If she doesn't approve, she will then try to step on them. What would I do without her?   Here are some of the buttons I used in this project.     I used files from SVG Cuts , and twine from Trendy Twine .   I made some fun glasses on a stick to bring the dress up theme together.   This rainbow pot of gold pin was really easy, I just taped a safety pin to the back.   Hope you have a fun and safe St. Patty's Day!     Thanks for stopping by,

Birthday Card for Her

Image
Today I have a simple Birthday card to show you.   I used a basic white A2 card base and did a scallop cutout using my Sizzix eClips machine. I used files from Miss Kate Cuttables and I added some of my own text (Birthday) with a border. I layered my cut-outs on a white background for a really crisp and clean look.       I then cut out another A2 sized card from double sided paper and added a thin line of glue down the spine of the card so that the scallop had a background behind it, plus I was able to write on the inside without it being visible through the scallop.   And there you have it, a very simple but pretty birthday card. It can be made into a card for him by simply changing the colors and picking a double sided paper with guy colors. For the embellishments,  perhaps a sports symbol or their favorite hobby like fishing, cars or motorcycles.     Thanks for stopping by to check out my blog,
