Rock-n-Roll Birthday Card

Image
Hi everyone! Today I wanted to share a really fun birthday card I made for my musically inclined nephew. I loved the bright colors and thought it was so fun to put together. Who doesn't love music, right?   So for the base of the card I used SVG Cuts square card base and added embellishments that were music themed.   SVG files are from SVG Cuts: Box Cards SVG kit Rockin and Rollin SVG Kit Summer Box Cards SVG Kit   The decorative papers are from DCWV Glam Rock Stack, I really love the metallic papers, it gives lots of shine to the card.             My nephew loved his music themed birthday card and I loved making it...win, win! Hope you are having a great day!

Valentine's Day Lamp

Image
Hi everyone! Since Valentine's Day is just a week away, I wanted to create a fun project inspired by my husband. He's really great a giving me ideas of what to make and this time he said he wanted me to make a Valentine lamp. He even helped pick out the colors and I think it turned out super cute! First off, I have to shout out to SVG Cuts for making such cute files. I didn't have a lamp file of theirs, even though the do have one, so I got creative trying to piece together different components from different kits to come up with my version. The kits I used are: Santa's Village - I used the Santa hat box bottom for the lamp shade. Home for the Holidays - I used the pitcher for the base of the lamp (I modified it by covering up the holes where the handle goes). For My Valentine - I used one of the hearts in the extras folder to create the hearts on the lamp shade. Supplies I used: Washi tape (for the black border around the lamp shade and lamp base) ...

Tropical Mini Album

Hi everyone! Today I wanted to share a really fun and easy mini album idea that I found on Pinterest! I have been looking up all sorts of mini albums and welcome you to follow my mini album Pinterest board if you too want some fun inspiration. This mini was inspired by a Pin by Bubble Gum and Duct Tape , which has easy step by step instructions for the base of the album. Here is how my album turned out...   For the cover I used a stamp to create a subtle background and then another stamp for "memories". I hand wrote 2008 and all of the graphics in the album are from Miss Kate Cuttables .   Since this album is made of pockets, I made 3.75" x 2.75" cards that can pull out of the pockets. I added a circle to the top of the cards and the pictures slip under the circle. I used colorful cards made from cardstock and I think it really adds to the fun factor in this album as well as the super cute embellishments.     Have a happy day!...

Baby Boy Shower

My sister just had a beautiful baby boy named Bryce and I have to say he is just the cutest little guy!   For her Baby shower I helped out a little by making a cupcake kit using my Sizzix eClips.   The cupcake wrappers are from SVG Cuts Vintage Paper Rosettes as well as the scalloped circles. The zoo animals are from Miss Kate Cuttables .     Such a cute theme for this baby shower!   My nephew showing his cupcake of choice.   In addition to the cupcake party pack, I also made a baby card. This card was made from SVG Cuts Breezy Backyard Lever Cards. I used another one of Miss Kate Cuttables zoo monkeys for the front. I used a punch for the baby feet and a circle punch for the embellishments.

Summer Beach Birthday Card

Image
Today I have a fun Summer Birthday card that I made using Echo Park's Paradise Beach digital papers.   I love using digital papers because I am able to open them in Photoshop Elements and then I can alter or create however I want with no paper waste. I made all of the elements for this card by layering the papers and using foam tape to give it dimension.   I used some Orangesicle Trendy Twine and some stamps for the sentiment.   This paper pack has such great colors and I created a chevron pattern in Photoshop to put as many of the papers on the card as possible.   Hope you are enjoying your summer!

Purse Birthday Card

Hi again! So today I wanted to share another birthday card...18th Birthday to be exact! I have a friend, who is also very crafty named Jenny, and as she is a very stylish lady, so I wanted to make her a very stylish Birthday Card.   The inside takes up all of the free space, leaving no room to write my message, so I made a mini change purse card that I added to the outside of the purse which opens to reveal the message.   These elements all came from the same set by SVG Cuts, Paula's Boutique .   Hint: To make the buckle and metal parts of the brushes look like silver, I used my Versa mark stamp pad with silver embossing powder. It has just the right amount of shine.       Thanks for stopping by,

Hot Air Balloon Birthday Card

Hello Blog World! I have been MIA...keeping myself so busy with the house that I hardly find the time to just sit and type. Summer has certainly arrived here in Florida, and with it I do enjoy the outdoor time. I have been gardening and learning a lot about what not to do. That's a good start. And now I am starting to see some vegetables that are close to harvesting which is really exciting. In the crafting world, I have been focusing on cards a lot more than anything else lately, and I am sad to report that my Sizziz eClips has mostly died. I say mostly because I have about a 4 by 12 inch rectangle that will still work on the mat. This is already my second machine from them that died. I am hesitant to replace with another one of their machines as I've only gotten 2 years of use out of this machine. Anyone else have issues with their Sizzix eClips? Any recommendations for another machine? Well, I have some pictures of some cards I made earlier this year that I would li...
