Halloween Is On It's Way!

Image
I have been busy decking out for Halloween and have been greatly influenced by Pinterest this time around. I always love decorating for Halloween, but this time I am decorating our first house instead of an apartment, so it's much more fun and exciting. Lets take a look at some of the fun things floating around Pinterest, and now our house! So that is where most of my inspiration for my Halloween crafts came from this year, do you want to see how mine turned out?  Let's start in the entry way...outside:   Empty water jugs that I stuffed with orange holiday lights and used contact paper for the faces.   Those sticks are from an oak tree in our back yard. They make pretty good props that I used in different spots.   For the Trick or Treat letters, I used some black cardstock and cut the letters with my Sizzix eClips. Some of the fonts are from Miss Kate Cuttables . If you use a cutting machine and haven't checked out h...

Breakfast Pizza

Image
This morning my husband was thinking about what he wanted for breakfast and he said he wanted me to make him a breakfast pizza. I had never made one before, so he found a recipe online at food.com .     I started out making my favorite pizza dough recipe, which I got from a farmer's almanac calendar.     I modified the breakfast pizza recipe to what we like, so we used 4 eggs, onion, basil, cooked bacon and shredded cheese.  Since I didn't want the eggs to spill out, I made it in a pie dish.  The result was DELICIOUS!  We are now figuring out when we are making our next breakfast pizza!     Hope you enjoy these recipes, if you have any delicious recipes you would like to share, I'd love to try them.

Baby Gift Ideas

Spring is filled with so many cute and pretty things such as bunnies and beautiful flowers, but it's also the time for babies! I just welcomed my baby niece, Sophia into the family last week, and I had so much fun making baby gifts for her. So, on to the pictures then...     As you can see, the theme of her room is purple, (I probably went a tad overboard with the purple, but it's such a pretty color! Besides I mixed it up a bit by adding a yellow duck...could have made it purple...just didn't think of it :)   These cute elephants on the card are from Miss Kate's Cuttables , she has simply adorable SVGs.    Below you can see the nursery all decked out...isn't this room adorable?!? I made the mobile and the crib rail guard.     This is an owl hat I crocheted from Repeat Crafter Me .     So this ducking is having a little too much fun...Peek a Boo!     And t...

New House!

Image
I'm sure some of you know someone in your life who has purchased a house, and in my community that is the trend this year and last. This is a fun house warming gift I made for my friends who got their first house last year. I used a combination of SVG Cuts files (for the keys and house) and I use Lori Whitlock's frame file.   I went with a traditional black, white and grey color scheme. And to hold the frame, I put it in a perfect little house box. It even has a little light inside that changes colors. So to anyone out there buying a new home, good luck and enjoy the experience.
