Hot Air Balloon Birthday Card

Hello Blog World!

I have been MIA...keeping myself so busy with the house that I hardly find the time to just sit and type.

Summer has certainly arrived here in Florida, and with it I do enjoy the outdoor time. I have been gardening and learning a lot about what not to do. That's a good start. And now I am starting to see some vegetables that are close to harvesting which is really exciting.

In the crafting world, I have been focusing on cards a lot more than anything else lately, and I am sad to report that my Sizziz eClips has mostly died. I say mostly because I have about a 4 by 12 inch rectangle that will still work on the mat. This is already my second machine from them that died. I am hesitant to replace with another one of their machines as I've only gotten 2 years of use out of this machine. Anyone else have issues with their Sizzix eClips? Any recommendations for another machine?

Well, I have some pictures of some cards I made earlier this year that I would like to share over the next few days as I get my blog back up to date!

First up is a hot air balloon birthday card.

I was able to use up some scraps for this card and I just love how it turned out. I made a cutout of the balloon on the front of the card and placed the balloon on the inside.

I used some Lemon Tart Trendy Twine for around the balloon outline. The hot air balloon is from Miss Kate Cuttables. If you haven't checked out her website, you totally should. She posts a free file every day, but you have to download it that same day. She charges very reasonable prices for her awesome files. The chevrons on the outside of the card are also hers.

That's all I have time for today. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you can find time to get crafty this weekend!
