Blog Buttons

I visited The Happy Card Encouragment Factory blog http://www.happycardfactory.blogspot.com/ and noticed she had a button that matched her blog, and I was able to copy the code under it and post it on my blog.  I really wanted to make my own button, because I have a specific theme to my blog, so I asked Becki how she got hers.  She directed my to a website http://www.musingsofahousewife.com/2009/03/how-to-design-a-blog-button.html, by Jo-Lynne, who has awesome tutorials on how to design/create your own button.  I have adobe photoshop elements, which is where I designed my button, but then I realized I didn't know how to I turn my button into a link. Jo-Lynne has got it covered...this is the direct website to create a button code that sits under your button so others can copy it onto their blog. http://www.musingsofahousewife.com/2009/03/how-to-design-a-blog-button.html
I will say it took me about 3 hours, from creating my button to getting it to actually work... and as a side note on the code, it seems that in the tutorial some>'s were left out...right after the photobucket link.  So it should look like this:
BUTTON with COPY CODE:
border=”0” /></a><p><textarea class=”tiny” name=”1” rows=”3” cols=”18”><br  /><a href=http://taragona.blogspot.com/><img src=http://i1182.photobucket.com/albums/x455/taragona/BUTTON-1-1-3.jpg> border=”0” /></a></textarea></p>
Just replace your web address (but be sure to add quotes to your blog link..."taragona.blogspot.com" or else it won't turn into a link.  Same goes for the picure URL, I suppose you can use any online photo website, but Flicker didn't seem to work for me so I just opened an account with Photobucket (it's free) and they have the link right next to your photo, all you have to do is click it and it will copy it. For anyone trying to create their own button, good luck, it's tricky, but it's so rewarding when you see your very own blog button for others to add to their blogs!
