Mermaid Birthday Card

Image
Hello everyone! I hope your Christmas was filled with fun family memories.  I wanted to share this super cute birthday card I made for my niece. It lays flat for mailing, but when it's open it has a 3-D look to it because the layers in the front stand out from the back. All of the files are from SVG Cuts Tropical Friends Collection . I found the tutorial for this card on You Tube, by Kim Score . It goes together pretty easily with the you tube instructions, and really you can change it to any subject you like. I think the under the sea look turned out really great and my niece loved it.

Paper Christmas Gifts

Hello peeps! How was your weekend? I had a wonderful time with friends and my hubby at a Christmas party and I even got some projects done. So today I just wanted to share a few gift ideas that I think are quick and easy, and add that special home-made touch. First up is a cute Christmas wine box, I used Recollections: Believe paper pad and SVG Cuts Classic Gift Boxes kit for the wine box. The stamp is from Punkin Patch Stamps . For the next gift idea, I made a stocking box which can hang from a tree and hold small gifts (still figuring out what I want to fill it with). I used  SVG Cuts Santa's Village for the stocking and 3-D Wintergreens for the sprigs. I used some peppermint stick by Trendy Twine to hang it and for the button. Hope you are all having a creative and happy Holiday Season.

Steampunk Card

Good day everyone, I hope you had a nice weekend. I went camping with some family and friends and it was so great to get out and enjoy the fresh air that is sometimes rare in Florida because it's usually so muggy. Anyway the highlight of the trip was probably when we were around the camp fire playing Mad Gab and a racoon took the opportunity to munch and run with a bag of hotdog buns. My sister, who was sitting near the table, ran after it and managed to wrestle the bag out of his mouth, but he left a nice chunk out of a bun, gross! Back to crafting... Today I wanted to share with you this birthday card I made for my husband's birthday...Happy Birthday honey! I really wanted to make a rugged manly card for him so I went with this gray, black and gold color sheme.  For the blimp I used LD's Steampunk and to decorate it I added Trendy Twine's Gray Licorice and Black Licorice as well as some hemp and canvas for the basket. I added some dimension to the grey cardstock
